The NE Wolfpac 2013 Europe Tour has wrapped up with the team heading home to Boston on 7/9/13. The boys have had the time of their lives, from playing against elite Dutch baseball teams to watching an international baseball game between The Netherlands and Cuba (Cuba won 4-0 with the Wolfpac guys shagging 3 foul balls), riding bikes in the sand dunes on the coast and visiting some of the cultural and historical sights of The Netherlands. Most importantly, they have had the chance to build lifelong friendships with their host families and create relationships that may lead to new playing opportunities overseas in the future.
From the parents back home in the United States there is much friendship and gratitude for the many Kinheim club families who welcomed our players into their homes and made them part of their own families during this amazing stay. Their kindness and generosity fill our hearts. Here’s hoping we can return some hospitality in the future (and maybe win some games, too).
Here is the 2013 Wolfpac International exhibition game record:
- 7/1/13 Bussum Scimitars (Loss 2-4)
- 7/2/13 Amsterdam Diamonds (Loss 8-10)
- 7/3/13 Kennemerland Rabbits/Kinheim Juniors (Win 10-5)
- 7/4/13 18U Dutch National AAA Team (Loss 2-17)
- 7/5/13 The Hague Tsunami (Loss 5-12)
- 7/8/13 Kinheim Rookies (Loss 6-8)
Bon Voyage and God Speed, boys.
