Red Wings Defeat Astros 10-6

The Red Wings continued their winning record with a 10-6 win against the Astros in a great Saturday afternoon game. Matt started on the mound for the Red Wings and pitched 3 scoreless innings, striking out 8 and allowing only 1 hit. Matt also started the offense in the 1st inning with a lead-off single and his 200th career stolen base, scoring on an RBI single by Nick M. who along with Connor B. also scored in the 1st and the Red Birds never looked back. The score was 7-0 by the 3rd inning, and 10-1 in the 4th. The Astros came back late in the game with 5 additional runs, but the door was closed with Cole on the mound and an incredible pickle play between 1st & 2nd base. RBI leaders for the game were Nick L. and Will with 3 each. Nick L. and Christian each hit key doubles and both Zach and Luke also hit singles.

Stay tuned for Tuesday night baseball…
