The Off-Season is now officially underway with an early focus on developing core strength, conditioning, hitting and pitching. This off-season Matt is working at the In The Batter’s Box training facility which is home to the North East Baseball AAU program. North East Baseball fields teams from 10U-18U and boasts alumni who are currently playing at the collegiate level. Several have also been selected in the MLB draft, so they must be doing something right!

Chad Rodgers
Matt will be playing on the NEB 12U team this Spring season, and the work has already begun to tune up his skills. Through February he is working on pitching development with Chad Rodgers (LHP) of the Atlanta Braves. Goals for the off-season are to build core strength and agility, improve hitting for power and average, and pitching to location and according to game situations.
Visit Matt’s stats page at www.ILiveSports.com under DIRTDOG SPORTS LINKS to see his stat totals for 2009. We’ll have to see how things change based on the upcoming Spring season!
