I'm not a doctor but I would contend that it is more important to teach Little League pitchers proper mechanics than to teach them an array of pitches. Even if you are throwing just fastballs, improper mechanics can put excessive strain on an arm which will result in injury.

If I'm coach...I'm teaching these kids proper mechanics and how to pitch (not throw). The mental aspect of pitching is such a large piece of the equation. The kids will benefit more if you focus on mechanics, throwing strikes, and pitching according to the situation. And sure...mix speeds by throwing change-ups. If we can teach our kids even a fraction of that... job well done.

Tell me something I don't know. The players and managers know who the juicers are. They just kept their yaps shut.. This typical of what is wrong with our society. Right is wrong and wrong is right. It's a spiritual problem.

Hi Joe:
I would not recommend any type of vegetable oil since it will become rancid and is also not formulated to treat skin, leather or hide (all of which have the same basic composition). Hence, lanolin and other such oils are best. The simplest thing is to use shaving cream with lanolin if you already have it.

Great stuff! I love the time management aspect of your message. Water breaks are a good time to go over things like signs and review.

Thanks for the information. Play Ball!

Disagree!

What you should have said was.....You should not pitch from the wind up when Jacoby Ellsbury is on third.

If your a lefty pitcher, your back is the runner anyways, why not pitch from the windup (which in my mind is more comfortable and natural)?

The chances of a guy stealing home is very slim.
